Las válvulas de compuerta Serie 90 son válvulas de movimiento lineal diseñadas para detener el flujo del fluido, no siendo aptas para regulación. Tienen cuerpo con tapa atornillada, husillo y yugo externos, vástago ascendente, bidireccionales, con sellado metálico y paso completo. El sellado con la atmósfera se logra mediante anillos de grafito flexible. Sus dos asientos ligeramente inclinados aseguran un cierre hermético, siendo ampliamente usadas en las industrias eléctrica, química y petrolera. Se accionan mediante volante o engranaje según tamaño y presión, y pueden adaptarse a automatización con distintos actuadores.
